Awards nomination deadlines

Nominations for two prestigious awards - the Principal’s Medal and the Tam Dalyell Prize - close on 4 September.

These University awards recognise significant achievements by staff and students.

The Principal’s Medal

The Principal’s Medal recognises staff and/or students who have made a major contribution to support or benefit the wider community.

Nominees may put themselves forward or be nominated by a third party.

A team should include no more than four members.

Nominations should be sent via email to Jenny Buchanan in Development and Alumni.

The Tam Dalyell Prize

The Tam Dalyell Prize is awarded for excellence in engaging the public with science.

The prize recognises an individual or group for work such as hosting school visits, talks and other public events, or through publishing and broadcasting.

Nominations should be sent via email, with ‘The Tam Dalyell Prize 2009’ in the subject header, to Deepthi de-Silva Williams, Marketing Manager.
