The initiative seeks to tackle five key issues of concern to parents using data, research and service-user views.

The project is a collaboration between the University’s Centre for Research on Families and Relationships (CRFR) and voluntary organisations Parenting Across Scotland and Capability Scotland.

Its findings will be fed into service development policy.

A community investment

This collaborative venture has been awarded £457,134 from the Big Lottery 21st Century Lives Fund.

It was one of three projects to be awarded the money for supporting family life in Scotland.

Each project was chosen for its potential to take a long-term view on the changing landscape of Scottish society.

Working with partner voluntary organisations, this exciting and innovative project is a chance to experiment about ways in which we can work together, as well as learning more about the experience of parenting, including parenting in families affected by disability.
