Cycle training on offer to staff

A Commuter Cycle Training course will be available to University staff and students over the summer.

Cycling on a leafy path

This free course, offered over two evening sessions, aims to improve cyclists’ confidence on the road.

Participants will learn through a combination of classroom-based and on-road training.

It is ideal for anyone who is considering cycling to work or study, or who has recently started commuting by bike, perhaps through the Bicycles+ scheme.

Cycling Scotland qualification

The course is provided by qualified instructors from the Centre for Sport and Exercise.

Participants will receive a recognised Cycling Scotland qualification.

The training is being offered through the University’s Get Active Getting There! initiative.

This aims to improve opportunities for walking and cycling to and between University sites through a combination of infrastructural improvements and educational activities.
