CSE building on success

A major £4.8 million extension and refurbishment of the Centre for Sport and Exercise at the Pleasance has begun.

It will provide additional state-of-the-art workout space via a new three-storey building to the rear of the centre.

There will be significant extra capacity for performance free weights, and multi-purpose activity space for classes and sports clubs.

It will also simplify accessibility.

Building plans

More detailed information on the plans will be released by the CSE over the coming months.

The project will take 12 months to complete.

It includes a contemporary design by Oberlanders Architects, with breathtaking vistas to Holyrood Park.
