The Senior Student Ambassador for the 2018-19 academic year will be Tom Wrench. Tom, a recent graduate of the History and Politics (MA Hons) programme, will be staying with the School to study Contemporary History MSc. He was also the School’s Undergraduate Representative, and was named runner-up in the 'Achieving Significant Change on Campus' category of Edinburgh University Student Association’s Impact Award in April.

Tom said, “It's a great pleasure to be taking on the role of Senior Student Ambassador for this academic year. I'm looking forward to building on my work as last year's School Undergraduate Representative by presenting the high-quality research and teaching which takes place within our supportive School community to prospective students alongside our excellent team of Student Ambassadors.”

The Senior Student Ambassadors oversees the School’s team of Student Ambassadors who help potential and new students get an insight into student life at the University of Edinburgh. The previous Senior Student Ambassador was Francesca Morphakis who studied History (MA) at Edinburgh and has recently completed an MSc by Research here, also in History.

Dr Guillaume Robin said, “As HCA Deputy Undergraduate Director it has been a great pleasure to work with Francesca and with Tom when he was EUSA rep in the School. Tom is very mindful of student welfare and has excellent leadership and management qualities. I am absolutely delighted to be working with him again in his new capacity and send thanks from everyone in the School to Francesca for all her hard work and input into the role.”
