Pay Dates

In general, pay day for the University is the 28th of each month; unless it falls on a weekend, in which case it is the Friday preceding the 28th.

Tax Matters

The Payroll Services section liaises with HM Revenue & Customs and is responsible for deducting income tax from employees' salaries.

National Insurance Contributions

The UK Government is increasing National Insurance contributions by 1.25% from April 2022 onwards. You will therefore see a proportional rise in National Insurance deductions for the eligible part of your earnings, which is your earnings less any salary sacrifice such as pensions or childcare vouchers.
