Since 2014, this online exhibition of photos of inspiring women at the University of Edinburgh continues to grow. The University launched its Inspiring Women Photography Exhibition as part of its International Women's Day celebrations in 2014. We asked leading photographers to help us celebrate the diversity and influence of the roles these women hold in the University,capturing their individuality and character, which is clearly a great part of their success. These women not only ‘Inspire Change’ but also make real change. They help us ensure our world-class University is constantly considered one of the top 50 in the world. Their dedication is helping us meet the urgent challenges affecting the world and provide an outstanding student experience to 33,000 students, 16,000 lifelong learners and more than 300,000 MOOC learners. These women are role models who will make a mark in our University’s history and inspire us all. The exhibition was held across campus on display boards and in windows of our buildings. New portraits continue to be added here to the webpages over the years, since the 2014 exhibition.
