Royal Infirmary Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility
The Royal Infirmary Clinical Research Facility (RIECRF) is based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Edinburgh BioQuarter on the south side of Edinburgh.
The RIECRF is situated in a corridor leading off the main mall of the Royal Infirmary. The corridor is signposted to the RIE Clinical Research Facility.
Enter by the West door
The corridor is on your left just past the information desk. The RIECRF is first on your right once you are in the corridor.
Enter by the East door
You will walk past the central reception desk and the shops. The corridor is on your right just before the information desk. The RIECRF is first on the right once you are in the corridor.
Arriving by car
The CRIC and QMRI are located on Old Dalkeith Road (A7) on the south side of Edinburgh. The postcode to enter in to a satellite navigation system is EH16 4SA.
Parking spaces in and around the hospital site are limited, especially during hospital visiting hours. Wherever possible, please use public transport or the park and ride facility at Sheriffhall.
Parking is in public car parks – a fee will be charged.
Arriving by taxi
Ask the taxi to drop you at the West Entrance of the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh.
Arriving by foot / cycle
The cycle / bus lane from Cameron Toll to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh via Old Dalkeith Road, as well as improvements to the cycle and foot paths on Craigmillar Castle Road, may make this an option for some patients and visitors. There is currently provision to park both bicycles and motorbikes on site, free of charge. Motorcycle parking is within marked spaces out with the car parks at various points around the perimeter of the building. Cycle parking is available close to all the entrances to the building, in the form of Sheffield stands. CCTV cameras monitor these areas at all times.
