Summer School
The University of Edinburgh offers several different Summer School programmes, suited to many different interests. Each Summer School programme has its own application deadlines and criteria. Please ensure you read each programme’s criteria carefully and apply as soon as possible before the deadline to avoid disappointment.

Taking place 10 July – 19 August 2023
SUISS is one of the oldest and most prestigious summer schools in Britain. The summer school brings together students and academics who, irrespective of their national, religious, cultural or gender differences, share a love of literature and the arts.
SUISS is based at The University of Edinburgh, which offers students excellent educational facilities, the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful capital city of Edinburgh, and to explore cultural and historical sites across Scotland.

Application Deadline: depends on chosen course. Please see course listings on the Edinburgh Summer School website.
The Centre for Open Learning's Edinburgh Summer School offers:
- Courses for Pre-university students in their penultimate year or final year of high school
- Credit-bearing courses for undergraduate students
All courses are designed and delivered by experienced and dedicated University of Edinburgh academic staff.

Taking place 17 - 22 July 2023
Application Deadline: Applications for the 2023 Sutton Trust Summer School open on 10 January 2023 and will close midday on 10 March 2023.
Experience Edinburgh as a real student: explore subjects you’re interested in, take part in exciting social activities, receive expert support on your journey to higher education, stay in real halls of residence, and make lots of friends along the way. The Sutton Trust Summer School is designed to support high-achieving students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

2023 Dates TBC
The first Una Europa One Health Summer School is an exciting, funded opportunity to connect with fellow Una Europa students for two weeks at the University of Edinburgh. One Health works towards sustainable development goals (SDGs) and is perfect for those studying the life sciences, public health, social sciences or any other discipline.

2023 Dates TBC
This is a free event for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students who are in S5 or S6 (Year 12/13 in England and Wales, Year 13/14 in Northern Ireland) at school. The summer school will take place at the University of Edinburgh, with accommodation and food provided.
