The College operates numerous scholarship schemes funded through University funds, organisations and industrial sponsors.

Chemistry Tercentenary International Masters Scholarships

In 2013, the School of Chemistry celebrated the 300th anniversary of the first chair in Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh. As part of these celebrations the School introduced the Tercentenary International Scholarships Scheme.

Scottish Power Foundation Scholarship

Scholarships are available for postgraduate Masters study in the area of Energy and Environment in the UK in 2015-2016.

School of Biological Sciences Taught Postgraduate Bursaries

The School of Biological Sciences is offering 8 bursaries of £5,000 to students studying one of the following taught masters’ programmes:

School of Engineering International Masters Scholarship

The School of Engineering will offer 3 Master's scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic session. Each will have a value of £3,000 and will be tenable for one academic year.

Informatics International Master's Scholarships

The School of Informatics will offer up to 10 Master's scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic session. Each will have a value of £2,000 and will be tenable for one academic year.

School of Mathematics Awards

Students in the School can apply for both studentships and teaching scholarships.

The Astaire Postgraduate Scholarship

One scholarship is available to a Master's applicant within the College of Science & Engineering. Applicants must be Israeli citizens that have completed an undergraduate degree at an Israeli institution.

Head of School Scholarships (GeoSciences)

The School of GeoSciences is delighted to offer a number of scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic session.

The Maudslay Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students from Mexico for postgraduate Masters study at the University of Edinburgh.

The David Mayes Scholarship

The scholarship is intended for students who plan to undertake research in the field of silicon chip design. Research should not be weapons related but rather should be aimed at promoting, protecting and enhancing life. The value of the award is £2,500 and is tenable in the School of Engineering for a maximum of three years.

Higgs Centre Scholarships

The Higgs Centre for Theoretical Physics at the University of Edinburgh is expected to be able to offer a number of prestigious Higgs Centre scholarships for the MSc programmes in Theoretical Physics and Mathematical Physics for the 2015-2016 academic session. Each scholarship is tenable for one academic year and will be deducted from tuition fees.

Master's Scholarships in High Performance Computing

The School of Physics and Astronomy offers up to two Master's scholarships in High Performance Computing for the 2015-2016 academic session. Each scholarship covers UK/EU tuition fees and is tenable for one academic year.
