University Fire Safety Adviser
Jim Hogg
Jim has worked for the University of Edinburgh since 2000.
Prior to working for the Fire Safety Unit, Jim was an Assistant Divisional Officer with Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service.

Graeme Ferguson
Fire Safety Area Supervisor
Graeme joined the Fire Safety Unit in 2006.
Prior to this served within various departments of Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service for 32 years.

Robin Griffiths
Fire Safety Co-ordinator
Robin joined the Fire Safety Unit in 2002 after serving 12 years with the Royal Navy followed by 28 years with Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service where he served as an Operational Firefighter.

Brian Quinn
Fire Safety Co-ordinator
Brian joined the Fire Safety Unit in 2005 after serving 27 years with Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service.
On retiring Brian was a Manager in Newcraighall Fire Station.

Caroline Smith
Fire Safety Unit Secretary
Caroline has worked for the University of Edinburgh since 1984 and has been with the Health and Safety Department since 2000.
Caroline is the Fire Unit Secretary and is the main point of contact for all fire safety related enquiries.
Caroline has passed 'Managing Safely', the nationally recognised IOSH qualification in occupational safety and health.
