My PhD research examines the educational experience of disabled children in Chinese mainstream schools through ethnographic inquiry. I intend to describe and interpret what's going on at school-level under the rehtoric change in national and local policies, which endorse the global agenda of inclusive education. This research aims to contribute to the knowledge of the international perspective of inclusive education and explore the implications of pupil voice for developing inclusive practice.
