Background
My name is Antonios Roussos , I am due to finish my undergraduate studies at the Agricultural University of Athens at the department of Biotechnology in June 2020. I am currently writing my dissertation, where I am investigating the potential use of monocarboxylate transporter 4 (MCT4) protein, as a pharmacophore (for cancer treatment) at the laboratory of genetics at the AUA . . I am currently doing my internship at the Roslin institute, University of Edinburgh under the Erasmus plus program. My supervisor is Dr. Anna Eleonora Karagianni a research fellow at David Collie’s Group. The aim of the project is to investigate the effect of training on the immune response of the equine respiratory system, based on transcriptomic and proteomic data.
