Title: The Influence of Culture in Neuropsychological Practices
Abstract: Until a few years ago, assessment and treatment methods in neuropsychology were exclusively based on theoretical developments carried out in the Western world. This fact left out the vast majority of the world's population. Modern neuropsychology understands that its methods of investigation, assessment, and treatment must include individuals from all cultures.
Therefore, in recent decades, efforts have been made to develop more culturally fair assessment and treatment methods.
Significant progress has been made, although much remains to be done. The future of this field is promising and challenging at the same time, but it will undoubtedly result in significant progress in our discipline.
