President of the Pathological Society of Great Britain and Ireland

At the September 2020 virtual Annual General Meeting of the Pathological Society, it was announced that Professor Mark J Arends (Head of Pathology, University of Edinburgh) has been elected to be the next President of the Pathological Society of Great Britain and Ireland, starting in July 2021.

Mark is currently the General Secretary of the Pathological Society and will continue in that post and also as President-Elect until Summer 2021. Mark wishes to encourage research grant applications to the Pathological Society, particularly from Pathology trainees and is happy to discuss these (please email M.Arends@ed.ac.uk). He also strongly encourages attendance at Pathological Society meetings, including Manchester Pathology 2021 (6-8 July 2021).
