Public cancer lecture

The University is hosting a public event showcasing groundbreaking cancer research.

University cancer researchers Dr Charlie Gourley and Professor David Cameron will discuss how genetic studies can help inform the treatment of patients diagnosed with ovarian and breast cancers.

Professor Cameron is an internationally recognised expert in breast cancer.

Dr Gourley, a Reader from the Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre, was this year invited to speak to an audience of 30,000 at the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s annual meeting.

The event will be chaired by Professor John Smyth, Assistant Principal and Emeritus Professor of Medical Oncology.
