Entries sought for technology prize

A new technology prize is seeking entries from Scottish universities.

The Thales Scottish Technology Prize for Data and Image Processing 2009 is looking for ideas that will enable new technology products in the field or improve existing ones.

The university behind the winning idea will receive £25,000 to assist further research and development in the project.

Smaller cash prizes are also available for individual or team finalists.

Potential entrants are encouraged to attend the prize’s launch event in Glasgow on 1 September.
