Senate nominations sought

The University is seeking nominations from researchers and demonstrators for membership of the Senate.

The Senate (Senatus Academicus) is the University's most senior academic body and has responsibility for overseeing learning and teaching.

Membership includes all professors, together with a range of representatives from across the staff and student body.

Eligibility

The advertised Senate vacancies are open to all researchers and demonstrators who were employed by the University on or before 31 January 2015.

This call for nominations does not apply to lecturers, senior lecturers or readers. Senate representation by staff in these categories is arranged separately by each college.

How to nominate

To apply, staff must complete and return a nomination form, which can be downloaded from the Senate Academicus website.

The closing date is 21 April 2015.
