Innovation Initiative Grants

Innovation Initiative Grants (IIGs) are funded through the generous donations made by our many staff, alumni and friends to be distributed among students, staff, clubs, societies and University support services for a range of academic projects, teaching initiatives and student activities.

Previously funded projects include a student run society where student volunteers work with disadvantaged children around Edinburgh, and Professor Nienow’s (School of GeoSciences) investigation into the surface melt and runoff from a Greenland outlet glacier.
