• Talk with someone about your respective likes and dislikes

If you feel that you could cope reasonably well with most of the following topics, you are at a suitable level to enrol for Beginner 3.

Can you

• Introduce yourself to someone providing personal information, contact details and speaking about personal qualities
• Ask someone, formally and informally, for the same kind of information
• Asking for and giving directions using a map
• Describing likes and dislikes, ordering a meal in a café or restaurant

Would you be able to communicate with a French person who asked you these questions?

• Pouvez-vous décrire votre famille ? Tu peux présenter ton meilleur ami ou ta meilleure amie ?
• Où vivez-vous ? Aimez-vous votre quartier ? Tu vas à l’université en bus ou à pied ?

• Cope with ordering food and drinks
• Ask for and buy what you want in a shop
• Understand and give basic directions in French
• Describe your home, your city/town, your environment
• Ask somebody about their plans for the holidays / the evening
