One-to-one librarian consultations for literature searching, referencing and systematic review advice
Book a one-to-one consultation with an Academic Support Librarian to help you research more effectively, by enhancing your knowledge of library resources and helping you develop effective search strategies and reference management software skills. Consultations may be online or on campus.

Literature search clinics:
These 30 minute consultations are open to all students to help you make the most of library resources and tools for your literature search. We will highlight relevant search tools and library resources for your research question.

Referencing advice:
One-to-one consultations to look at your questions about referencing and use of reference management software tools such as EndNote and Zotero.

Systematic review consultations:
In depth consultations with an Academic Support Librarian for advice on developing a search strategy, using databases and information sources, and managing references in a systematic review.
In some cases Academic Support Librarians may be able to join research teams to consult on searches but please note this is dependent on capacity and is decided on a case-by-case basis. We are not able to carry out searches for any assessed pieces of university work.

Help with academic writing:
If you are interested in getting help with your academic writing, we have a fellow from the Royal Literary Fund who is available to speak to you during term time to help develop these skills.
