An ‘Edinburgh model’ for online teaching

A new, short online course: An Edinburgh Model for Online Teaching has been developed to assist in staff development for expanded online teaching.

The course was developed by LTW in conjunction with IAD and  the Centre for Research in Digital Education. The course is designed to provide a foundation for online teaching and is designed to distil the work already taking place in online education throughout the University of Edinburgh into a new expression of who we are as a university and how that gets translated into our online teaching.

The design and content of the course is in line with the vision and direction established in the recent Near Future Teaching project. The course has run successfully as a pilot and will be opened up to larger cohorts of academic colleagues.
