Obituary - Doctor Neville Belton

With sadness, we announce the passing of Doctor Neville Belton

The Department is saddened to share the news that former Senior Lecturer and Post Retirement Fellow, Doctor Neville Belton has died at the age of 82 years. Doctor Belton was a medical biochemist in the University of Edinburgh Department of Child Life and Health at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, since 1967. His research focussed on Vitamin D and mineral metabolism in pregnancy, infancy and childhood. He retired in 2000, but kept in regular contact, and retained a keen interest in the historical aspects of the Department and its staff.
