Candice Schmid

Information on the Deputy Director of Operational Management and Core Safety Advisory Services

Candice has an MA(Hons) in Archaeology from the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2003.

She also has the following Health and Safety qualifications - IOSH 'Managing Safely', NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health and the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.

She also holds the Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene, awarded by the British Occupational Hygiene Society.

Candice is a Licentiate member of BOHS, Chartered member of IOSH, Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner, member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists, member of ISTR and the University Chemical Safety Forum.

She took up the post of Deputy Director of Operational Management and Core Safety Advisory Services in October 2023, having been in the department in a  variety of positions since late 2003.
