Seed funding initiatives with our partner universities can catalyze groundbreaking ideas. Our initiatives aim to create opportunities for new collaborative work that will have a sustainable future.
Current seed funding opportunities
Una Europa seed funding call 2024
With a strong emphasis on empowering early-career researchers, the Una Europa seed funding call 2024 supports academics from to pursue a collaborative research, education or outreach project with counterparts across the alliance.
Eligibility
Established academics and early-career researchers from the 11 Una Europa partner universities in all disciplines are invited to participate in the Call.
Seed Funding project teams must involve:
- One coordinator at the Una Europa university coordinating the project;
- At least one academic lead per university at a minimum of three additional Una Europa universities;
- At least one early-career researcher at each participating partner university.
Application and deadline
The deadline for proposals is 16:00, 28 June 2024.

Una Europa Starter Fund
Open to applications from lecturers and heads of departments at the University of Edinburgh to work on joint teaching and research projects, digitalisation or joint applications for research funding.
Maximum funding amount: 10,000€
