The Postgraduate Certificate in Global Health Challenges is a part time, online programme taking a multidisciplinary approach to understanding these changing issues and to developing your capacity to address them.

Local and global health challenges are intricately connected and our understanding of health and wellness, illness and health care are changing rapidly as the world changes. What we do as individuals, as communities, as nations and as multi-national agencies has a major impact on both the global health agenda and the day to day health in every country.
The programme looks at how multiple and increasingly diverse factors determine health and wellness across low, middle and high income countries. It investigates proposals to tackle the global health challenges and investigates ways in which local communities across the globe have sought to manage changes and turn around problems. It taps into the emerging field of Planetary Health which focuses on the human health impacts of accelerating environmental change, and explores its key themes: urgency, inequality, bias.
Study while you work
The Postgraduate Certificate in Global Health Challenges is an online learning programme for people working, or considering a career, at the intersections of policy, practice and/or research in a range of sectors including government, international agencies, NGOs, private sector and academia.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Global Health Challenges is offered by the Deanery of Molecular, Genetic and Population Health Sciences in the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.
The programme draws on multidisciplinary expertise from across the university and beyond through the Global Health Academy, a global network of experts developing innovative solutions for the world's most challenging problems.
