Student Adviser

All taught students have been assigned a Student Adviser to provide you with direct support throughout your time at the University.

Your Student Adviser is your primary contact throughout your time at the University of Edinburgh.

They provide guidance and support to you at key points in your study journey, or with changes to your personal circumstances.

Your Student Adviser will be able to help you with:-

  • Wellbeing support
  • Applying for special circumstances
  • Applying for an authorised interruption of studies
  • Information on University of Edinburgh Support Services
  • Talking through difficulties or helping you get the correct UoE support
  • Questions about progression
  • Withdrawing from the University
  • University procedures and regulations
  • Accessing counselling 
  • Career Guidance 
  • Financial Help
  • Immigration Advice
  • Pastoral services
  • Much more…..!

 

Student Advisers will actively listen and provide non-judgemental advice where appropriate. You will be allocated a Student Adviser when you commence your studies.

Your Student Adviser will contact you before the academic year begins to introduce themselves. They will continue to be in touch at key points throughout the year, and you can also contact them any time you need support.
