This research, led by Freya Purcell, explores how women street sellers shaped the urban space around them in the 18th and 19th centuries, through a mixture of court records and visual culture.

‘Make a space for me’: Dreams of a post-war feminist city

The archive of writer Joan Ure is the primary site of the project, to explore women in post-war Glasgow. Dr Lottie Whalen leads the project.
