Student Counselling Service

The Student Counselling Service provides confidential short term counselling to matriculated Edinburgh University students.

The Counsellors are experienced and professionally trained and the service is provided free of charge.

Director – Ronnie Millar

Ronnie is a graduate of the University of Glasgow (LL.B. Hons) and the University of London (B.D.Hons) and holds postgraduate qualifications from the University of Dundee (Diploma in Legal Practice) and Glasgow Caledonian University (Pg Dip in Counselling and Supervision).

Having worked in the fields of law and pastoral ministry, in both Scotland and Botswana, he qualified as a counsellor in 1997. Ronnie joined the Student Counselling Service in 1998, becoming Deputy Director in 2005, and was appointed Director in November 2010.

Ronnie has been actively involved in various committees and special interest groups of the Association for University and College Counselling and is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy as a counsellor/psychotherapist.
