University staff announced as Fellows of the Royal Society of Edinburgh

Thirteen University of Edinburgh staff members have been elected as Fellows of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

As Scotland’s National Academy, the society was established in 1783 for ‘the advancement of learning and useful knowledge’. It celebrates the leading minds from across science, the arts, business, public life and academia.  

This year’s intake includes outstanding individuals whose contributions are shaping society in Scotland and beyond.
