CogniHealth case study

Taking care of someone with dementia is demanding, and there are lots of things a carer needs to think about. CogniCare an interactive app that connects family carers to tailored resources that address the specific symptoms and care challenges they are facing. CogniCare was developed by Edinburgh neuroscience graduates Pooja Jain and Giulia Melchiorre, and economics and finance graduate Pranav Shakti Chauhan.

Their company, CogniHealth, has received important practical and funding support from Edinburgh Innovations and was recently named one of Virgin StartUp’s 10 best small businesses in Scotland.

The Scottish Microelectronics Centre is a world class centre for incubation, research and development in the semiconductor sector.

The Centre links academia and technology companies, providing space and support services to start-up companies within this science sector.

The Centre is a joint venture between the University and Scottish Enterprise.

It offers accommodation to a mixture of high growth technology SMEs, and large corporate research and development centres.
