Diaspora in Residence – Gender Roles in Migration

diaspora on the stage
Diaspora on stage is one of our primary means to create new resources based on material held in our Online archive. The aim of the first residence is to study immigrant gender roles in action as well as through non-performative repositories of cultural memory. This work will result in new play about Italo-Scottish women from the 1940s to the present. Our first resident artist is playwright, director and performance trainer Laura Pasetti. Laura Pasetti has worked with international theatre directors Giorgio Strehler and Luca Ronconi and is based at the Piccolo Teatro, Milan, one of Italy’s leading experimental theatres.
