Using lists as a subscriber

Contacting the owner(s) of a mailing list
All mailing lists have at least one owner. You may want to contact a list owner to subscribe to a list or make a complaint or request something be changed on the list.
You can contact the owner of any mailing list by sending a mail message to the list's associated request address.
The request address is created by appending "-request" to the right hand side of the list name before the @mlist.is.ed.ac.uk.
For example, a mailing list called "firstname.lastname@example.org" has a -request address of "email@example.com".
