The migration, slavery and diaspora studies hub provides a supportive environment for research and teaching about issues surrounding slavery, migration and diasporas, subjects of great current political, economic, social, and cultural interest both within and beyond the academy.

McFarlane Studentship

The migration, slavery and diaspora studies hub at the Edinburgh Centre for Global History (ECGH) hosts the William R. McFarlane Scholarship for doctoral research.

Slavery Lecture

A lecture series on 'World Slavery from Antiquity to the Present' was established in the Scottish Centre for Diaspora Studies in 2012.
