Free, non-credit bearing courses available for undergraduate and postgraduate students from all disciplines at the University of Edinburgh.

Applications 24/25

  • Applications for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students have now closed for 2023/24. The next set of courses will be offered in Term 1, 24/25.
  • The next set of Postgraduate Research courses will start the week of 22nd April 2024, except for Writing your PhD First Year Report, which will commence the week commencing 29th April 2024.
  • Applications will open Monday 4th March. Applications will close Sunday 7th April 2024, except for Writing your PhD First Year Report, which will close Sunday 14th April 2024.

Before applying:

  • Read the ALLIS course descriptions to ensure you choose the courses most appropriate to your needs.

After applying:

  • Please be patient! We will contact you after the application deadline to confirm if you have been given a place.
  • Check your email after the application deadline for further communications from us.

Please be aware:

  • You must submit a separate application for each course you apply for, and we strongly advise you to only apply to a maximum two courses per semester, or one course in the case of courses for Post Graduate research students.
