Laura Saetveit Miles

Laura Saetveit Miles is professor of British literature at the Department of Foreign Languages, University of Bergen, Norway. She researches medieval religious literature and culture, especially women visionaries like Julian of Norwich and Birgitta of Sweden, and monastic literary communities like the Birgittines and Carthusians. Her first book, 'The Virgin Mary's Book at the Annunciation: Reading, Devotion, and Interpretation in Medieval England' (Boydell & Brewer, 2020), has won two prizes and came out in paperback in 2022.
