During our time at Bayes, the Central Asia Creative Hub is focused on creating an online networking platform for creative professionals and practitioners with a shared passion for Central Asia. Our goal is to promote the region's culture in Scotland and the UK through our platform: www.centralasiahub.co.uk.
We're currently compiling information about Edinburgh's six key festivals to develop a tailored guide for Central Asian artists. This guide will encompass interviews, instructions, and essential insights, serving as a valuable reference for upcoming opportunities.
Our platform serves as a nexus for networking, promotion, and the exchange of ideas and experiences. For those intrigued by Central Asia and its cultural heritage, it's a space to engage, collaborate, and share knowledge. Through this platform, we aim to foster a deeper appreciation and understanding of the diverse cultures and artistic practices of Central Asia.
Supported by the Creative Informatics Inclusive Innovation Working Spaces Fund, the Central Asia Creative Hub will be proudly hosted by the Bayes Centre until February 2024.

Earthwave is using space AI technology for energy-intelligence. Developing 'virtual energy inertia' to support the transition to a net zero renewable energy infrastructure.
National energy demands are constantly changing in volume, traditionally thermal power generation is fast to respond to these changes and able to maintain a balance between supply and demand.
Renewable energy systems such as wind turbines are relatively slower to respond (low inertia) and therefore the balancing of the power grid has to be supported with additional, fast acting (high inertia) backup power systems which bring additional costs and their own carbon dioxide output.

Research Data Scotland's (RDS) vision is to promote and advance health and social wellbeing in Scotland by enabling access to public sector data about people, places and businesses.

Scotland’s world-class data is locked away in lots of individual systems, across many different organisations, and isn’t in a format that makes access or integration of data easy. Accessing data can take too long, meaning research questions remain unanswered and policy is no longer fresh or innovative.
Working with their partners, RDS will coordinate and simplify the process of accessing multiple datasets and help researchers and analysts to support policy decisions that improve the everyday lives of people in Scotland.

Opening finance for good.
Smart Data Foundry is a collaboration between the University of Edinburgh, FinTech Scotland and the Financial Data and Technology Association (FDATA) to build a data-driven research & innovation organisation in Financial Services and FinTech, serving public, private and voluntary sectors.
From the moment we wake up, we generate data – as consumers, as workers, as citizens. Part of that “data trail” creates a digital history of our economic activity all day, every day – by doing our banking to pay bills, making purchases online, using internet apps to manage all aspects of our financial lives, and much more.
The data we generate can deliver huge benefits to society if we can unlock it safely, which means protecting people’s privacy. Smart Data Foundry was created to deliver those benefits, to safely unlock the potential of financial data as a force to improve lives.
