About our guests

Martha Greenbank

Chosen object: a patchwork quilt

After graduating in 2018 with a degree in Architecture, Martha Greenbank stayed on at the University rising to the position of Client Services Manager for Edinburgh University Sports Union. As a student, she held various positions including Women’s Water Polo Captain, as well as being an active athlete in the Edinburgh University Swimming and Water Polo Club. She was awarded the Murdoch Trophy for Outstanding Performance for her efforts and success in the overall development of the team.

Despite her degree and her post-university job, Martha has chosen to follow her passion – namely, art. She has just started a new job at Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh as a Front of House Coordinator, where she is responsible for the studio’s day-to-day visitor services and client relations. Martha continues her passion for art outside of work, practising as a contemporary sculptor.

Martha also has a wealth of volunteer experience, including her work with Girlguiding where she was awarded the ‘Girlguiding Long Service Award’ for her five years as an adult leader.
