Formed in 2002, EDUCT is an active and diverse network of alumni, located primarily in the Greater Toronto Area, that hosts events and activities (Burns night, annual dinner, talks etc.) from September to June. EDUCT also publishes a newsletter three times each year, raises funds for the University, maintains a community presence on Facebook and Twitter, and manages a Career Connections program designed to help recent grads and other alumni make career connections.
First year graduates and non-graduating alumni are invited to join EDUCT free of charge during their year of graduation/departure and the following year.
For all other graduates membership is $35 a year. Payment can be made by cheque to ‘Edinburgh University Club of Toronto’.
Membership fees are due in January of each year.
All membership enquiries and payments are managed by Sarah Tulley our Treasurer and Membership Secretary.
We raise funds to support students who are not financially able to consider Edinburgh in their educational plans, postgraduate students at the Institute of Geogrpahy and the J. Wreford Watson Lecture Series.
Our Career Connections program is designed to provide a mechanism for students and graduates returning or moving to the Toronto area to receive career information from alumni.
