Pre-requisites
Swahili Language Stage 2 is suitable for students who have completed Swahili Language Stage 1 or the equivalent of the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Entry is subject to a language test by the relevant subject area on arrival and at the discretion of the Course Organiser.

Swahili Language Stage 2 offers you a unique opportunity to continue learning one of the most widely spoken languages of Africa You will further develop strategies to learn languages and increase your confidence in holding a simple everyday conversation.
Course Description
Upon completion of the course, students who have fully engaged with all the learning activities will achieve the equivalent of the first half of the A2 level of the CEFR https://www.coe.int/en/web/common-european-framework-reference-languages/table-1-cefr-3.3-common-reference-levels-global-scale and will have developed their confidence in engaging in basic everyday interactions. Students will develop these elementary linguistic skills through a variety of listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities. The course focuses on language that is required for communicating in real everyday situations. The course will include autonomous learning activities, which enable students to practice and consolidate their skills.
