Course Summary

This course is intended to develop an understanding of key mathematical methods for business, providing students with the opportunity to apply mathematical techniques to business problems. This course is required for students who intend (or want to keep open the option) to study further analytics courses within the Business School, but who are not receiving appropriate mathematics training in other schools. This course will also prepare students less comfortable with mathematics for Business Research Methods 1.

Course Description

This course is intended to develop an understanding of key mathematical methods for business from first principles. Mathematical preliminaries will first be introduced, with more advanced techniques to be developed as the course progresses. The main focus of the course will be on applying mathematical techniques to business problems
