Our goal is to integrate post-genomic science with medicine and engineering, in order to provide a better mechanism-based understanding of disease processes.
In this way, we seek to speed the development of new medical innovations for the diagnosis and treatment of human diseases.
We are committed to bringing these new tools to the developing world.
Division profile
We are a research centre in the School of Biomedical Sciences, one of four Schools in the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Edinburgh.
Academic partners
DPM works on a highly collaborative basis on interdisciplinary integrated research projects. We work with groups in the UK as well as maintain strategic partnerships with a number of research centres worldwide.
