There are two steps in the online application process. First read the information for candidates below.
Then click on the link to the International Exchange application, research your options and apply.
Students will be selected by their College on the basis of academic ability plus a personal statement. Places are limited and competition is strong.
Successful applicants will be contacted by the International Office during the Christmas vacation with details of where they have been allocated a nominated place. After you have formally accepted this nomination, you will then begin the application process to your host university. Those who have been unsuccessful or who are on the reserve list will be informed after the Christmas break.
Look at the websites for institutions you are interested in and consult the relevant notes of guidance. It is your responsibility to check whether the host universities you are interested in offer courses appropriate to your Edinburgh degree.
Catalogues and prospectuses for some of our partners can be viewed in the International Office resource room (afternoons only).
You should also consult with your Director of Studies once you have obtained information about courses available at a particular institution.
