What is a Masters Degree?
Our one-year masters programmes are typically comprised of 180 Edinburgh credits, which is equivalent to 90 ECTS credits.
Masters programmes generally involve 12 months of full-time study. Most programmes are also offered on a part-time basis over 24 to 36 months.
They include:
- coursework with assessment chosen to suit the circumstances and practice of the discipline concerned
- independent work which is normally submitted as a dissertation
