Current research interests

His previous research was on consequentialism, well-being, and value. His current research is in metaethics, on moral language and moral psychology. Another strand of research is in political philosophy, on hate speech. He also has a persistent side-interest in John Stuart Mill. He is interested in supervising students at all levels on any of these issues, or others within ethics, metaethics and political philosophy.
