Dr Maram Zahraa

Biography

Background

Maram Zahraa is a Teaching Fellow for the online Master of Public Health Programme. Maram conducted her PhD at the doctoral training programme in Precision Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. The focus of her research was understanding and managing multiple medication (polypharmacy) use in asthma patients over time. Her expertise lies in pharmacoepidemiology and mixed methods where she combines quantitative analysis of prescribing data via R and qualitative analysis of healthcare professional viewpoints via interview methodologies. Maram has, also, worked in randomisation in clinical trials and brings industry experience to her academic roles.

Postgraduate teaching

Currently, teaching on the MPH course online and as a tutor for SPS.
