Rectorial Election Hustings on 4 February

Hustings are being held for candidates in the Rectorial Elections to put forward their arguments before voting opens.

The debate is open to all students and staff and will take place at 6.30pm in Teviot Debating Hall on Wednesday, 4 February.

The nominees are broadcast producer Steve Morrison and writer Peter McColl, the University’s current Rector. Both have produced manifestos accessible on the election webpages:

The hustings, in the days leading up to the election, will provide both candidates with an opportunity to expand upon their manifestos and aims, to debate, and to respond to questions from the audience.

How to vote

All current University of Edinburgh students and staff are eligible to vote online via MyEd, starting at 9am on 10 February until 7pm on 11 February.
