The National Student Survey (NSS) 2015 is now open. Entering its eleventh year, the NSS is your opportunity to give your opinions on what you liked about your time on your course here, as well as things that you felt could have been improved.

What is the NSS?

The NSS is an annual survey of final year undergraduates in England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. It is a high profile annual census of nearly half a million students across the UK, which gives students a powerful collective voice to help shape the future of both their course and university or college.

Why complete the survey?

Whether you feel your time as a student at the University of Edinburgh has been great, or you feel that some aspects could have been better, the NSS gives you a unique opportunity to leave your mark and pass on thoughts about your experience.

Your opinions matter and can lead to real change within the University.

How do we use the findings?

Information gathered from previous years’ surveys have led to:

  • Improved assessment and feedback processes
  • Establishment of award-winning peer support initiatives
  • Major improvements to libraries and social spaces
