Inspire Launch Grow Awards

Have you started your own company? Or identified commercial applications for your research? LAUNCH.ed and the University's Spin-out Support Team are looking for staff and students with exceptional entrepreneurial talent.

The 2015 Inspire Launch Grow Awards are now open for applications. This is a fantastic opportunity to take your business idea to the next level. There are cash prizes to be won, in-kind support and a large network of experienced advisers waiting to help budding entrepreneurs.

There are two parts to the awards and applications will be considered for both:

The Innovation Cup

The Innovation Cup is open to all academic staff, students and alumni (up to two years after graduation) of the University of Edinburgh with research or technology-based business ideas or young business ventures. Applicants must intend to build a business in Scotland within the next 12 months OR within 12 months of their graduation. The winner will receive £5000 towards their business and two runners up will receive £1000.

The Enterprise Award

The Enterprise Award is a business competition open to all academic staff, students and alumni (up to two years after graduation) of the University, who have shown exceptional entrepreneurial talent with innovative business ideas. The winner will receive a £5000 prize and two runners up will receive £1000 towards developing their business.
