New cycle stands

The University is installing 100 new cycle stands in the Central Area campus.

This will include 80 cycle stands along the south and east sides of George Square. A further 20 stands will be installed outside the Informatics Forum on Crichton Street.

The work is underway and is due to be completed by Sunday 28 June. Cyclists are asked to refrain from attaching their bikes to the contractor's fencing during the installation.

The project will provide much needed, high quality cycle stands for the University buildings around the south and east sides of George Square, and Appleton Tower.

This investment represents the University’s commitment to improving facilities for the growing number of cyclists in the Central Area.
